Hampshire Dermal Aesthetics is a CQC (Care Quality Commission) registered Slimming Clinic and Dr Amanda is a certified partner of The National Medical Weight Loss Programme (NMWLP).
This UK-based initiative offers medically supervised weight loss support, primarily using prescription medications. It’s designed for individuals who are overweight or obese and are seeking assistance in managing their weight.
The programme utilises FDA approved injectable medications, which are licensed for weight
management in the UK. These medications work by suppressing your appetite, reducing cravings (food
noise), and aid in fat loss.
• Suitable for adults aged 18 to 75 with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or above. Your waist size is over 80cm (31.5 inches) if you are female or if you’re male, 94cm (37 inches). For those with weight-related health issues like high blood pressure or abnormal lipid levels, the BMI threshold may be lowered to 27.
• You can press the link and complete the comprehensive health assessment which will be reviewed by
Dr Amanda to see if you are eligible.
If deemed suitable, a confidential face-to-face consultation will be arranged with Dr Amanda who will discuss your medical history, current diet and exercise routine, measure your weight, calculate your BMI, total body fat, visceral fat, total muscle mass, prior to discussing your goals and providing a personalised treatment plan.
Once started on the programme you will have a face-to-face consultation every 4 weeks with Dr Amanda to regularly record your weight, BMI, total body fat, visceral fat, total muscle mass and discuss your progress and plan the next month ahead. You will have medical support and encouragement throughout your weight loss journey.
While individual results can vary, many participants report significant weight loss.
Beyond weight loss, the programme has been associated with improvements in conditions such as pre- diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol levels, and obstructive sleep apnoea.

The NHS recommends using your Body Mass Index or BMI as an indicator of a healthy weight range. The BMI is calculated based on your height, weight, and age. The score for a healthy weight, depending on these factors, is between 18.5 and 24.9.
To get a better idea of your weight health, the NHS advises that you should also measure your waist size. This is because excess fat in your tummy area can mean a higher risk of health conditions like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and stroke.
It’s recommended that you may need to lose weight if you’re female and your waist size is over 80cm (31.5 inches) or if you’re male, 94cm (37 inches).
Prior to considering any weight loss medication, it is essential to prioritise healthy lifestyle changes. A balanced diet and regular physical activity can be effective in achieving weight loss goals.
By adopting a balanced and nutrient-rich diet, you equip your body with the essential nutrients for optimal function while curbing excess calorie intake. Think of introducing plenty of vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats into your meals.
Regular physical activity helps shedding unwanted pounds. Engaging in activities that elevate your heart rate, such as brisk walking, jogging, swimming, or cycling, not only burns calories but also improves cardiovascular health and boosts your metabolism.
However, for some individuals, additional support may be needed. There are prescription-only medicines available that can help with weight loss. These are only available after a consultation with Dr Amanda and if she believes you are suitable for the programme.
You could be eligible for our weight loss treatments if:
• you are aged 18 to 75 and;
• you have a BMI over 30 or;
• you have a BMI over 27 and have been diagnosed with a condition that is made worse by weight
gain, such as a heart condition
• you are female and your waist size is over 80cm (31.5 inches) or male and your waist size is over
94cm (37 inches)
A BMI in the healthy range for your height, gender, and age; along with a healthy waist size, means you’re less likely to develop obesity-related health complications such as type 2 diabetes, heart conditions, and stroke. There is less strain on your organs, and your body can function normally without having to overwork itself.
A healthy weight can also mean more energy, meaning more motivation to include regular exercise in your day-to-day routine. This helps you to maintain that healthy weight and can also support positive mental health and wellbeing.

So pleased to have found Hampshire Dermal Aesthetics. Dr Amanda and her team are truly amazing! I’ve had a few treatments here now and every time Dr Amanda has made me feel completely at ease, listened carefully to what I wanted to achieve and explained every treatment clearly, answering any queries I had. Dr Amanda is also a true perfectionist - she takes so much care to make sure everything is right rather than rushing or over-treating. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my face and delighted with the results! Thank you HDAPosted on Google![]()

I recently came to see Amanda for some advise on a mole on my face that had been causing me some concern. Using her incredible new piece of technology called 'Map my Mole' a series of photos were taken by a device attached to her phone and immediately sent off to a Consultant Dermatologist. Within 24 hours I received a full report and initial diagnosis which in this case meant I was given peace of mind that the skin issue was not too serious and Amanda could go ahead and treat it with her in-clinic Cryo Pen. It is a fantastic service and I would urge anyone who is worrying on their own to go and get checked out! Many thanks to Amanda for all her care and swift action.Posted on Google![]()

I’ve had a couple of appointments with Dr Amanda at Hampshire Dermal Aesthetics, including cryotherapy, and have been extremely impressed. Amanda is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and reassuring, and having a doctor with her medical background and expertise makes a real difference. I’m also hugely grateful to Amanda for something she spotted when my partner saw her about a small lesion near his eye. Rather than simply removing it, she advised him to have it medically checked. It was subsequently diagnosed as a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and has since been successfully removed by the NHS. Thanks to Amanda’s expertise and caution, it was picked up early and has thankfully caused no long-term issues. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Amanda and the practice. Excellent care, very professional and, in our experience, her medical expertise has been invaluable. A huge thank you from both of us.Posted on Google![]()

I’ve had an amazing experience using this dermatologist! Amanda, Natalie and Mia are always so welcoming, and the space is beautiful and clean. I went in originally as I wanted clearer skin, they gave me a face scan, a new routine (which they kept as cost effective as possible for me), and sent over all the information I needed every time. My skin is clearer than ever and I’m so happy with the results. Thank you again guys, I’m looking forward to my next visit!
